When I crowdfunded Godspell 13 years ago, I was testing a thesis. I believed there were a lot of people out there interested in investing in Broadway shows. They just didn’t know how to start.
Based on the number of people who raised their hand expressing interest in investing in Godspell when the news broke, that thesis was correct.
I spoke to a lot of folks about investing in Broadway back then. And they had a lot of questions. How do you get started investing? How does the cash flow back to Broadway Investors? What if I didn’t want to be a Broadway Investor, but wanted to produce instead?
And one potential investor said to me, “Is there a book on Broadway investing I can read?”
I paused. And realized there wasn’t one. So I wrote one. It’s called Broadway Investing 101, and it became a bestseller on Amazon.com.
Just last week, someone bought it, and emailed me with more questions. Which reminded me of a very popular seminar I hosted prior to the pandemic called . . . yep . . . Broadway Investing 101 (NY Mag even did an article about it).
I haven’t done it in years. But since I’ve been getting more questions about Broadway investing lately, I thought . . . maybe . . . I should do it again.
So we’re doing it again.

This online presentation is for educational purposes only. It is not an offer to sell or a solicitation of an offer to buy units in any entity. Also, remember, investing in anything is risky, and investing in Broadway shows is very risky (as we'll discuss in the presentation). Before you invest in anything, whether that's a Broadway show or a stock, make sure you seek proper financial guidance to determine if investing in right for your personal situation.
